the only bad part about touring in a band that is unsigned is coming home DEAD BROKE as a person because you have to pay for all your own food etc. yes budgeting your money should always be done but when you have unexpected expenses like my band did budgeting does nothing for you

tonight i swung by a show on my way home to catch my buddies band. As they were playing they went into their usual interlude where they say how theyre christian and what not and instead of just talking about god my good friend started telling a story about a young boy whos mother was murdered two weeks ago. at the end of the story he said that young boy was him. i almost cried at that moment and felt the need to type out this story just because the rest of their set after that was by far the most passionate 3 or 4 minutes of music ive ever experienced.  my condolences brandon, being away for a month kept my band and I out of the loop =/
